What it actually is
The project is a Rust rewrite of the Skate 3 engine, compiled to WebAssembly and WebGPU. Its asset pack is regenerated: every texture, mesh and sound effect was rebuilt so that no retail files are shipped, which the author backs up with published taint scans. The parks still follow the original layouts, and skating physics and animations are kept as facts. Music and speech are not included, and the three big districts are not on the web build yet. You can switch maps, load community maps, and skate with up to 10 players in a shared room. There is even a dirt bike behind F9.

The legitimate way to play
The original Skate 3 is playable on Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility. EA's newer free-to-play skate. is a separate game.
If Skate 3 won't load
- Expect gaps compared with the original. Skate 3 here is a recreation, so some areas, music or features from the game you remember may be missing.
- Use a recent Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Recreations built with new engines lean on WebGPU or WebGL 2, which older browsers lack. Our browser check shows which you have.
- Plug in a controller if keyboard feels awkward. Gamepads are read directly through the browser's Gamepad API.
Chromebook, phone and tablet
On a Chromebook, Skate 3 should start in Chrome as long as the browser check shows WebAssembly and WebGL 2. Low-end Chromebooks may need lower graphics settings, and managed school devices can block sites or downloads entirely; follow your school's rules. It also works on phones and tablets with on-screen controls, and a Bluetooth controller makes it far easier.
